Support Student Affairs and Support Student Life!

Your private support of the Division of Student Affairs helps make Binghamton University a home away from home for students with many different interests, goals and needs. Charitable gifts to the Division, or any of our student-centered services and programs, sustain a safe and healthy campus, promoting all aspects of students' growth while complementing the University's academic agenda.

How to Give
Whether you're an alum eager to support your favorite residence hall, a parent appreciative of a service that made your student's education more manageable, or a corporation impressed with your new BU recruits, giving back is simple.

Every year the combined gifts of alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff continue to improve the quality of student life, on and off campus, through our annual giving campaign, The Binghamton Fund. If possible, we hope you will consider joining The Binghamton Fund's Leadership Society. The Leadership Society recognizes donors who believe in our mission strongly enough to support us at the $1,000 level.

Endowments, naming opportunities, planned gifts and other significant donations often have a transformational quality due to the resources and permanency they offer. These and other Major Gifts to Student Affairs guarantee we can provide the best services, programming, and "outside-of-the-classroom" educational opportunities. In-kind gifts of equipment or services are also welcome and enhance our mission.

Making a gift has never been easier! Give Now! online, securely, with a major credit card. The BU Foundation also accepts gifts of cash, checks, credit cards donations, stocks and securities, electronic fund transfers, gifts of real property, in-kind gifts and planned gifts. Many of these offer tax advantages to the donor. Learn more about How to Give.

Where to Give
Binghamton University offers a living environment where today's tech-savvy student can thrive academically and socially. Students enjoy a myriad of opportunities to learn, play, engage in civic and charitable organizations, develop leadership skills and encounter a rich cultural life. Student Affairs helps foster a multicultural community and supports international collaboration and exchange, preparing students for a diverse and changing world.

Through its Health Services, Counseling Center, and Recreational Services the Division helps students stay well, make wise choices and manage stress. Using a four-year model, placing a different emphasis on each academic year, the Discovery Program interweaves academic, career-search and extracurricular activities to create a well rounded, highly prepared and motivated individual.

Students and alumni turn to the Career Development Center for help exploring career options and opportunities or advanced degree programs. Additionally, both the Center and Off Campus College offer students a chance to hone their professional skills through internships and other experiential education classes.

Both the Educational Opportunity Program and Upward Bound give financially and academically challenged students a chance to succeed on the collegiate level. Other communities with unique needs, such as international students and those with disabilities, also find services devoted to their success.

From Orientation to Discovery, and from residence halls to recreational facilities, the Division of Student Affairs touches every facet of students' lives.
